Acceleration is nothing but a combination of techniques to automatically
optimize the performance of an application over the network be it

WAN. They can be described as appliances that "enable server/data
center consolidation and deployment of browser-based application interfaces while lowering
total cost of ownership."

that automatically optimizes all applications that run over TCP. They also provide for application-specific optimizations

and more.

they provide a more powerful, flexible architecture that can deliver higher application
